VNT Improves EV Charging Capabilities for Commercial and Industrial Applications

By Enersider Desk | New Delhi | June 17, 2026

VNT has announced plans to strengthen its focus on high-power electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions as demand for fleet electrification continues to grow across India.

The company said, “rising fuel costs, sustainability targets and government initiatives promoting electric mobility are driving increased interest in EV adoption among commercial fleet operators’”.

Programs such as FAME and various state-level EV policies are encouraging businesses to explore electrification as a long-term operational strategy. Thus, VNT is expanding its efforts to support the electrification of commercial and industrial vehicle fleets through its range of AC and DC charging solutions.

According to the company, its product portfolio includes charging systems ranging from 3.3 kW AC chargers for residential and commercial applications to high-power DC fast chargers with capacities of up to 1.4 MW. These systems are designed to support a wide range of electric vehicles, including passenger cars, buses, trucks, mining equipment, port vehicles and other heavy-duty industrial applications.

Vrinda Almadi of VNT said, “Fleet electrification is moving from aspiration to action. For fleet operators, the shift is increasingly being driven by a combination of lower operating costs, sustainability targets, and a rapidly evolving policy environment.”

She added, “At VNT, our focus is on developing reliable, scalable EV chargers that can support this transition across vehicle segments, from passenger vehicles to heavy-duty commercial and industrial applications, and help accelerate the adoption of electric mobility.”

The company noted that charging requirements are increasing as the use of heavy-duty electric vehicles expands. Electric buses and long-haul trucks require charging capacities between 240 kW and 640 kW, while industrial, port and mining applications may require charging solutions approaching or exceeding 1 MW.

To meet these requirements, VNT said its charging systems are equipped with advanced thermal management technologies, rugged enclosures and high-performance power electronics designed to ensure reliability, efficiency and maximum uptime in demanding operating environments.

VNT also plans to continue investing in next-generation high-power and megawatt charging technologies, expand its manufacturing capabilities and strengthen strategic partnerships to support commercial fleet operators in India and international markets.

According to the company, it remains focused on delivering scalable and high-performance EV charging solutions to support the transition towards cleaner and more efficient mobility across transportation, logistics, industrial and infrastructure sectors.
