Abhijeet Sinha has been appointed as Principal Advisor in Ministry of Commerce and Industry’s led and operated Services Export Promotion Council (SEPC) of Government of India.

A technocrat from the field of economic and tech commercialisation since 2014, Sinha is expected to bring his expertise and experience in green credits and circular economy, public-private partnership models, and collaboration with international agencies and policymakers to the SEPC Council, an official statement said.
According to the statement, he will also focus on developing digital tools, identifying markets, and strengthening the branding of Indian services under the Export Promotion Mission.
The aim is to help the Services Export Promotion Council (SEPC) align with international standards and contribute effectively to service promotion programs across different sectors of the economy in support of the ‘Viksit Bharat’ goals.
Sinha has developed strategic policy advice and financial models for climate financing in the public sector through blended instruments like the Annuity Hybrid E-Mobility (AHEM) and Digital Health Annuity Model (DHAM).
These PPP-based models use public funds as ‘seed money’ to attract private investment, enabling projects like NHEV to mobilise nearly ₹5,000 crore, according to an official report.
He currently serves as National Program Director for Ease of Doing Business and has spent the past decade driving technology-led economies and grassroots projects across states.
He also leads key government initiatives in infrastructure, health, and climate, including NHEV, DIISHA, Drone Pilot, and climate finance programs.
His appointment comes as ministries and public enterprises work in mission mode to achieve ‘Viksit Bharat’ goals amid U.S. tariff challenges.
