JSW Energy said it will raise up to ₹10,000 crore through an issue of securities. The company also announced appointing Chandrasekaran Prabhakaran as CFO effective January 1, 2026.

Chandrasekaran Prabhakaran, is currently the Financial Controller for JSW Steel Group. He is responsible for business control, budgeting, financial reporting under Ind AS, Statutory Audit and controller for systems and processes at JSW Steel.
He has an experience of over two decades in the field of Finance and Accounting (especially Ind AS, IFRS) Business Control, Treasury, Taxation and Regulatory Compliance.
Prabhakaran joined the JSW Group in November 2014 and has played an active role in Ind AS Transition of JSW Steel, restructuring of entities and involvement in the GST implementation for the JSW Steel group.
Prior to joining the group Prabhakaran had earlier worked with Vedanta Limited, part of the Vedanta Group and has worked with organisations like The Madras Aluminium Company Limited(MALCO), Bharat Aluminium Company Limited (BALCO) and Deloitte.
JSW Energy’s subsidiary JSW Energy (Utkal) Ltd has signed a 25-year PPA to supply 400 MW of power to multiple Karnataka discoms from April 1, 2026 at a tariff of ₹5.78 per kWh.
The electricity will be supplied for a tenure of 25 years at a tariff of Rs 5.78 per kWh, a JSW Energy statement said.
With this PPA, JSW Energy’s open capacity reduces to 5 per cent of the current operational capacity from about 8 per cent, further strengthening long-term revenue visibility and de-risking the company’s generation portfolio.
Headquartered in Mumbai, JSW Energy has a total locked-in generation capacity of 30.5 GW comprising 13.3 GW operational, 12.5 GW under-construction across thermal and renewable, 150 MW under-acquisition hydro and pipeline of 4.6 GW.
The company also has 29.4 GWh of locked-in energy storage capacity through hydro pumped storage projects of 26.4 GWh and battery energy storage system of 3.0 GWh.
The Company aims to reach 30 GW generation capacity and 40 GWh of energy storage capacity by FY 2030 and achieve Carbon Neutrality by 2050.
