Transformers and Rectifiers (India) Ltd on Friday said the company has secured an order worth Rs 228.26 crore from Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation Limited (GETCO).

The company has bagged the order for supplying six transformers and two reactors, and the order is expected to be executed by August 2028, the company said in an exchange filing.
Based in Ahmedabad, Transformers and Rectifiers (India) is into the manufacturing of power, distribution, and specialty transformers. Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation Limited is a key player in the state’s power transmission network and regularly undertakes expansion and infrastructure upgrade projects.
The company stated that the contract has been awarded by a domestic entity and falls within the normal course of business. Transformers and Rectifiers (India) Limited also clarified that neither its promoter group nor its group companies have any interest in the entity awarding the contract. It further stated that the order does not fall under related-party transactions.
Previously, Transformers and Rectifiers (India) Ltd had secured a Rs 389.97 crore contract from GETCO, marking a major addition to its order pipeline in the power equipment industry. That contract involved the supply of 53 different types of transformers, reinforcing the company’s presence in India’s power transmission and distribution sector. Under that contract, the company will manufacture and deliver a range of transformer units tailored to GETCO’s operational requirements. Delivery of all 53 transformer types is scheduled to be completed by the next financial year, indicating a substantial workload for the company’s manufacturing facilities and a positive contribution to revenue visibility in the near term.
The company has not disclosed the combined value of the two orders or the total order book position. The orders are part of GETCO’s ongoing efforts to expand and upgrade Gujarat’s power transmission network to meet growing electricity demand and integrate renewable energy sources. Transformers and Rectifiers continues to focus on manufacturing power equipment for domestic utilities and industrial customers.
