Tata Power Solaroof, a division of Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), has installed 1 GWp of rooftop solar capacity during the April-December period of this fiscal year across residential as well as commercial and industrial (C&I) segments, the company said.

During the same period, the company added more than 1.7 lakh rooftop solar installations, recording a year-on-year growth of 345% compared with 38,494 installations in the corresponding period of FY25. The additions included rooftop and ground-mounted solar solutions across residential and C&I customers.

According to the company, the rooftop solar expansion aligns with the government’s push to increase household solar adoption under the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Yojana. Tata Power is promoting rooftop solar adoption through its ‘Ghar Ghar Solar’ campaign, aimed at increasing awareness and access to solar power solutions for residential consumers.
Tata Power Solaroof operates across residential, commercial and industrial segments and offers end-to-end rooftop solar solutions, including modules with long-term performance warranties, financing options, insurance coverage and after-sales support. The company has a pan-India presence supported by a network of over 650 channel partners.
TPREL said it continues to expand its rooftop solar footprint in line with India’s renewable energy targets of achieving 500 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030 and net-zero emissions by 2070.
