RITES wins CEAI National Award for USBRL project

RITES Limited, a Transport Infrastructure Consultancy and Engineering firm, has been awarded the CEAI National Award under the ‘Engineering Innovation and Sustainability’ category for its contribution to the Udhampur–Srinagar–Baramulla Railway Line (USBRL) project.

The award was received by RITES’ Director Technical, Deepak Tripathi and Executive Director, Lalit Kumar during the Consulting Engineers Association of India (CEAI) Annual Conference & Awards 2025, organised by the CEAI, the apex body of consulting engineers in India, in New Delhi.

RITES provided consultancy services for the USBRL project, a challenging yet significant rail development, including the design of alignment and associated surveys across key stretches. 

Apart from that, the company also led the design and proof-checking for 20 bridges. Additionally, RITES undertook technical audits for 25 bridges, including the iconic Chenab Bridge and Anji Khad Bridge, and implemented structural health monitoring systems for two critical bridges. 

Earlier this month,  RITES Limited signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board to provide consultancy services to facilitate investments in infrastructure and industrial development across infrastructure consultancy domains in Andhra Pradesh. 

These include feasibility studies, Detailed Project Reports (DPRs), Project Management Consultancy, Bid Management, and Third Party Inspection & audit services. 

The collaboration spans a wide range of sectors such as transport systems, ports, waterways, power, water and wastewater, buildings, and industrial infrastructure, among others. 

Rail India Technical and Economic Service (RITES) Limited is a transport infrastructure consultancy and engineering firm under the Railway Ministry, having diversified services and geographical reach. 

The company has an experience spanning more than 5 decades and undertaken projects in over 55 countries in Asia, Africa, Latin America, South America, and the Middle East region.
