GOLDI SOLAR SECURES ₹1422 CRORE CAPITAL LED BY HAVELLS

Goldi Solar Pvt. Ltd., a solar PV module manufacturer, with an annual capacity of 14.7 GW, has secured Rs.1422 Crore growth capital infusion led by Havells India Limited, along with a consortium of high-net-worth individuals(HNIs), institutional and strategic investors.

According to the company, the development is reflective of investor confidence in Goldi Solar’s vision and its role in India’s clean energy transition.

Havells India Limited, an Indian electrical equipment company, is leading the investment. The company stated that Havells’ investment in Goldi Solar aligns with the former’s aim to contribute to technological advancement, and sustainable growth in India’s renewable energy sector by accelerating the adoption of high-efficiency solar technologies. 

Joining Havells in this capital infusion are Ambit Global Private Client, Nikhil Kamath, Shahi Exports Private Limited, SRF Transnational Holdings Limited, Karmav Real Estate Holdings LLP, NSFO Ventures LLP, and GodwittConstruction Private Limited. 

The growth capital infusion was advised by SBI Capital Markets Limited, with Saraf and Partners serving as company counsel, ensuring robust governance and strategic direction throughout the process.

Goldi Solar stated that the funding will be used to expand its manufacturing capacity, strengthen backward integration into solar cell production, and support innovation in high-efficiency solar technologies, along with expanding the company’s market presence.

Commenting on the development, Founder & Managing Director, Goldi Solar Pvt. Ltd., Ishver Dholakiya said, “This landmark investment marks a transformative chapter for Goldi Solar. With the backing of visionary partners like Havells and other esteemed investors, we are empowered to scale new heights in solar manufacturing and innovation.”

According to the official statement, the company has expanded its Solar PV Module manufacturing capacity nearly fivefold – from 3 GW to 14.7 GW in the last 12 months and is in the process of developing solar cell manufacturing facilities in Surat, Gujarat.
