(EIEL) has secured two Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM) projects worth ₹256.92 crore from Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam (Rural) under the Government of India’s flagship Namami Gange Programme. The project  development includes two energy-efficient sewage treatment plants in Varanasi.

According to the company, the sewage treatment plants have been designed as energy-efficient and self-sustaining facilities by combining renewable energy solutions. The projects will use biogas generated from sludge during the sewage treatment process to produce electricity. Solar power systems installed across rooftops and available land will also generate clean energy to support plant operations.

The company said, “these renewable energy systems are expected to reduce operating costs, lower carbon emissions, improve sustainability and enhance the long-term energy resilience of the sewage treatment plants”.

Sanjay Jain, Chairman of Enviro Infra Engineers Limited, said, We are proud to have been entrusted with these significant projects by Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam (Rural) under Namami Gange Programme. Our focus remains on delivering high-quality, sustainable, and timely solutions that contribute to the nation’s water management and sanitation goals. We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of engineering and execution.”

The company has also received in-principle approvals for term loans for both projects, enabling timely financial closure and smooth project mobilisation.

The order  strengthened Enviro Infra Engineers’ presence in the HAM segment while reinforcing its vision to develop sustainable and energy-efficient water and wastewater infrastructure in India.
