Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd. has announced that it has secured a major solar rooftop order in Andhra Pradesh, covering more than 40,000 households with 2 KW on-grid rooftop systems over the near term, amounting to a total contract value of Rs. 445 Crs.

This 77 MW win, valued at Rs. 445 Crs, is Crompton’s largest solar rooftop order to date.
The development follows a Rs. 52 crore order earlier this month and comes within two months of Crompton’s entry into the solar rooftop market, indicating growing traction for the company in the renewable energy space.
India’s solar rooftop market, estimated at around Rs. 20,000–25,000 crore, is expected to expand at an annual rate exceeding 20%, driven by improved technology affordability, easier grid integration, and growing consumer awareness.
The project aims to provide households with reliable, sustainable, and easy-to-maintain solar solutions.
As per the official statement, the company’s end-to-end project execution is supported by trained personnel and a service network to ensure system maintenance and performance.
