Adani Green Energy Ltd (AGEL) announced on Monday the operationalization of a new 125-megawatt solar power project at Khavda in Gujarat. This development further expands the company’s massive renewable energy footprint in the region.

The project was commissioned by Adani Renewable Energy Fifty Six Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of AGEL. According to an official exchange filing, the decision to operationalize the plant was formalized at 1:40 p.m. on September 1, 2025.
This latest addition boosts AGEL’s total operational renewable generation capacity to 15,990.5 megawatts (MW). The commissioning is part of a series of rapid capacity expansions at the Khavda site. Just last month, the company inaugurated 50 MW of solar-wind hybrid capacity, and in late June, an additional 1,011.5 MW of blended renewable projects were activated at the same location.
The Khavda renewable energy park is a cornerstone of AGEL’s growth strategy and a critical component of the envisioned 30 GW Gujarat Hybrid Renewable Energy Park. Upon completion, this park is slated to be the world’s largest hybrid renewable energy facility, significantly contributing to India’s green energy ambitions. The continued development at Khavda underscores AGEL’s focused efforts on scaling up its hybrid and solar capacity to meet the growing demand for sustainable power.
