Inox Wind and Inox Clean Partner on 1,500 MW Wind Energy Expansion

By Enersider Desk | New Delhi | 16 June 2026

Inox Wind Limited (IWL) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Inox Clean Energy for the supply of 1,500 MW of wind turbines for renewable energy projects across India.

Inox Wind will supply its advanced 3.3 MW and 4X MW wind turbines for projects being developed by Inox Clean. The partnership is part of the INOXGFL Group’s recently launched ‘One Integrated’ renewable strategy, which aims to create a fully integrated renewable energy ecosystem covering manufacturing, engineering, procurement and construction (EPC), independent power production (IPP), and operations and maintenance (O&M) services.

According to the company, the collaboration is expected to strengthen cooperation among the Group’s renewable energy businesses while providing long-term order visibility and revenue growth opportunities for Inox Wind. The company stated that large orders from within the Group will help support growth and reduce the impact of market cycles.

Inox Clean has rapidly expanded its renewable energy business and currently has an operational portfolio of around 3.5 GW within two years of commencing operations. The company plans to add more than 3 GW of renewable energy capacity annually and is targeting an operational renewable energy portfolio of 14 GW by FY29. Around 20-30 per cent of these annual additions are expected to come from wind energy projects.

Sanjeev Agarwal, Chief Executive Officer of Inox Wind Ltd., said, “We are delighted to have signed this MoU with Inox Clean for the supply of 1,500 MW of advanced wind turbines. Inox Clean has planned to develop and deliver long term clean energy solutions to its customers, and we are pleased to be a key partner in the Group’s mission to accelerate India’s energy transition, while also benefiting from a steady multi-year order inflow.”

He added that Inox Wind currently has a robust order book of 3.1 GW and that, with the new MoU, its order book has crossed 4.5 GW, providing visibility for the next few years.

Bharat Saxena, Chief Executive Officer of Inox Clean Energy, said, “This MoU represents a significant milestone in the execution of the INOXGFL Group’s ‘One Integrated’ renewable strategy.” He added that the partnership would support faster project execution, greater supply chain certainty and improved capital efficiency as the company works towards building a 14 GW renewable energy portfolio by FY29.
