FuelBuddy expands into Zimbabwe and Zambia, strengthening its footprint in Africa

By Enersider Desk | New Delhi

FuelBuddy, a major global provider of on-demand fuel delivery, has officially launched its services in Zimbabwe and Zambia. This move is a key part of the company’s plan to grow its presence across Africa and change how businesses access fuel.

After successful operations in India, the UAE, and Mozambique, FuelBuddy is now entering two of Southern Africa’s fastest-growing economies. This expansion is timely, as Africa’s energy needs are expected to grow 30% by 2040, far outpacing the global average. FuelBuddy aims to meet this demand by offering reliable, safe, and efficient doorstep diesel delivery, helping businesses save time and reduce costs.

Adnan Kidwai, CEO of International Operations at FuelBuddy, expressed his enthusiasm: “We are excited to bring our trusted services to Zimbabwe and Zambia. Reliable energy is crucial for economic growth, and our goal is to support local industries—like mining, agriculture, and logistics—by delivering fuel directly to them, safely and transparently. This allows businesses to overcome operational challenges, boost productivity, and focus on their core work.”

FuelBuddy’s service is fully digital, allowing customers to order fuel easily through a mobile app or platform, with guaranteed quality and safety. The company has already delivered over 500 million litres globally and is now ready to address fuel supply challenges in its new markets.

The expansion will also create local jobs and partnerships, supporting long-term energy resilience in the region. In addition, Adnan Kidwai shared that FuelBuddy plans to move into the retail fuel sector across all its markets, including exploring opportunities in retail fuel stations.

This step reinforces FuelBuddy’s commitment to innovation and customer-focused solutions, driving sustainable growth in emerging markets.
